Charlie, a Wheaton Terrier, was born in 2001. He was bought as a present for the Adams' youngest son, Kyle. At the time, the family was living in Santiago,Chile, and felt Kyle needed a playmate.  As a result, while on a business trip back to the  U.S., Mark bought Charlie.  So at the age of six weeks, Charlie made the long international flight to be united with his new family.. He quickly became bilingual. When he was not being good, he knew that "Bano" meant go the the bathroom.  He knew "agua" was water, and he became enamored with the "piscina" (pool).  Charlie and his family now reside in Athens where he loves to watch for deer from the dining room window, chew on chew bones, race the family golf cart and take naps on the cool hearth.  "Charlie is our pet of the month every month."
